Lonely Planet Releases Czech Language Philippines Guidebook
12 March 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to the Czech Republic Evelyn D. Austria-Garcia reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that Lonely Planet recently released its latest Czech language travelguidebook on the Philippines.
The Philippine Embassy in Prague welcomes the release of the guidebook by Svojtka & Co. Publishers, which has released 150 “Lonely Planet” guides in the Czech language since 2011.
Ambassador Garcia expects an increase in tourist arrivals from the Czech Republic with the release of Lonely Planet’s Philippines guidebook in the Czech language.
“Czech people love the sun, sea, and sand so there is definitely a great potential in promoting diving spots, nature and adventure tourism in the Philippines ” Ambassador Garcia said.
Lonely Planet described the Philippines as “a little known jewel in Southeast. Asia” The guidebook includes Philippine tourism and travel information including facts, maps, history, culture, transport and climate.
The guidebook captured the beauty of the Philippines and invited intrepid travelers to “come swim with whale sharks, ascend smoldering volcanoes, explore deserted islands, stroll around the ancient rice fields, enjoy excellent diving sites and explore remote mountain tribes”.
Lonely Planet Philippines was written by authors Greg Bloom, Michael Grosberg, Trent Holden, Adam Karlin and Kate Morgan.
