In a simple and solemn ceremony, Ambassador Ombra T. Jainal led the officers and staff of the Embassy of the Philippines in celebrating the 122nd Anniversary of Philippine Independence at the Chancery on 12 June 2020.
During the ceremony, the messages of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. were read. The messages centered on the theme “Kalayaan 2020: Tungo sa Bansang Malaya, Nagbabayanihan at Ligtas.”
In view of the current epidemiological situation, the Embassy opted instead to send digital postcards to the diplomatic corps and its network of contacts to celebrate the national day of the Philippines. END.
