The Philippine Embassy in Prague would like to inform our Kababayans that the implementation of Republic Act 10950, the amendatory law of Republic Act 9189, also known as “Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003”, is an affirmation of the constitutional right of overseas Filipinos to participate in the election of their national leaders.
The start of the Overseas Registration/Certification for qualified Filipinos for purposes of the upcoming 2016 National Election has started on 06 May 2014.
In this regard, the Philippine Embassy in Prague would like to invite fellow “Kababayans” living in the Czech Republic, who have not yet applied for Overseas Voters (OV) Registration and Certification, to register at the Philippine Embassy. Please contact for Mr. Arcangelo Sta. Ana at this contact number: 420-224216397, for your preferred schedule of registration.

Café Kačaba - where the world comes together

No doubt most Filipinos have only one thing in mind when they hear of Pilsen, but make no mistake – what follows has nothing to do with both the Czech and the Filipino nation’s favorite beer.

PILSEN, Czech Republic - When the super-typhoon Haiyan (AKA Yolanda) unleashed its destructive power over the Philippine archipelago last November and thrust the country – once again in an all too predictable fashion - into global spotlight, many Czechs were genuinely touched by the tragedy, expressing their sympathy with Filipinos en masse and donating money for the victims through various local and international charities.

AMBASSADOR LECAROS PRESENTS CREDENTIALS
TO CZECH PRESIDENT MILOŠ ZEMAN

22 February 2014 – H.E. Victoriano M. Lecaros, PHL Ambassador to the Czech Republic, presented his credentials to the President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Miloš Zeman, on 28 January 2014 at the Prague Castle.

Ambassador Lecaros was accompanied by his wife, Ms. Melissa C. Lecaros, Prague PE First Secretary and Consul, Mr. Juan E. Dayang, Jr., the PHL Honorary Consul General in Brno, Mr. Břetislav Skácel, Prague PE’s Finance Officer and Attaché, Mr. Mario D. Simbulan, and Prague PE’s Communications Officer and Attaché, Mr. Arcangelo S. Sta. Ana.

WHEREABOUTS OF MISSING RELATIVES WHO ARE VICTIMS OF TYPHOON YOLANDA

The Philippine Embassy in the Czech Republic would like to inform our Filipino nationals in the Czech Republic of the following information in relation to the inquiries of missing relatives (if there are any) who are victims of typhoon Yolanda:

1. Please inform the Philippine Embassy if you have missing relatives who are victims of typhoon Yolanda and have already contacted them. The information will enable to remove their names in the list of missing persons by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

2. Please assure that the Philippine government is doing its best to restore the normalcy of the areas affected by the typhoon Yolanda.

3. The Embassy continues to accept inquiries regarding missing relatives who are victims of typhoon Yolanda. Your inquiries will be immediately transmitted to the DFA-Typhoon Yolanda Action Center (DFA-TYAC) for onward submission to the NDRRMC.
